Aim : 

  1. To maximise vine health by promoting soil microbial activity in the vineyard.
  2.  To limit the adverse effects of soil compaction ( by machinery ) by increasing soil aeration with natural microbial action.
  3. To ensure maximum yield & return per ha whilst reducing input of chemical.
  4. To prove conclusively plant vigour & drought resistance can be achieved through promoting soil health by increased microbial activity.

 

Application : 

Step 1: Apply IOA SumaGrow 3.5 litres per hectare at “early bud break”.
Step 2: Apply IOA SumaGrow 3.5 litres per hectare at “Bloom Stage”.
Step 3: Apply IOA SumaGrow 3.5 litres per hectare at “early Fruit Set”.

 

Application Notes :

  1. Apply Chemical fertiliser @ 50% usual rate OR discontinue to allow microbial action to release the fixed / locked element resource within the soil.
  2. Monitor plant health improvements. Re-evaluate requirements – it’s possible preventative disease control measures may be reduced due to improved plant health.( refer 4. )
  3. Fungicide Intolerance : IOA SumaGrow needs to be applied to your crop no less than 30 days of any fungicide application.
  4. IOA SumaGrow demonstrates multifaceted effects pertaining to increased plant growth, chlorophyll content, Brix, early flowering and maturity, enhanced root nodulation and disease suppression or systemic acquired resistance or induction of host defensive mechanism. The overall effect produces greater yield with reduced input of chemical fertiliser and pesticide.
  5. If already using N-P-K products: It is recommended that N-P-K application rates be reduced by 50% when using IOA SumaGrow.
  6. If soil organic matter (OM) is low (i.e. heavy sand or heavy clay soils) increase the initial application rate by 2.5L /Ha.
  7. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store at 4°C – 26°C.
  8. Double check fertigation calibration prior to applying the recommended rate / Ha.
  9. Apply in late afternoon or at sundown to ensure optimal absorption.

 

Organic Application: 

  1. In organic operations, it is recommended that all application rates be increased 100% for conventionally grown crops. (IOAsumagrow standard rate of 10 litres per hectare will increase to 20 litres per hectare for organicl crops).This increase is recommended because the build-up of soil nutrients in organic fields is typically significantly less than that found in conventionally fertilised fields.
  2. Additionally, organic fertiliser products tend to have a slow release of nutrients compared to that of chemical fertilisers. Number and frequency of applications may also have to be increased for the same reasons.

 

Co-application Notes :

  1. IOA SumaGrow can be co-applied through a metered irrigation system.
  2. IOA SumaGrow can be applied with some liquid fertilisers and herbicides. A jar compatibility test is always recommended prior to application.
  3. IOA SumaGrow should NOT BE CO-APPLIED with fungicides and fumigants.
